You might have thought we’d gone quiet for a moment, but Dish isn’t going anywhere. And to prove it, we’re back with a bang, kicking things off with the endlessly brilliant Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty. Fresh from Hollywood, where they both took home Golden Globes for their roles in the critically acclaimed Adolescence, the pair join us to talk about Season 2 of A Thousand Blows, now streaming on Disney+. From bare-knuckle boxing to pickpocketing, they’ve taken on some fairly questionable new skills in the name of their craft, meaning no Dish goodie bag is safe. This week, they’re dining with stars of a slightly different kind. Angela serves up a dal gosht from Mallika Basu, a rich, fragrant North Indian curry with lamb falling off the bone and a sauce built for scooping. At the centre of the table, a fully loaded Lazy Susan makes its Dish debut, stocked with all the important extras and toppings, while the Waitrose wine experts pair the meal with Cave de Turckheim Gewurztraminer. From Lazy Susans to pans of Scouse and a fierce defence of prawn cocktail crisps, it quickly becomes clear that Erin and Stephen aren’t letting go of their food favourites any time soon. And, like any sign of a successful Dish episode, Stephen’s hunger is finally laid to rest with an impromptu millefeuille lesson from Angela, while Erin rounds things off with a juggling finale.
