With TikTok falling under Zionist control, there’s been a great deal of attention on a new social media platform called UpScrolled, which markets itself as a free-speech alternative to Big Tech but nevertheless promotes moderation policies around “disinformation,” “harm,” and “hate speech.” UpScrolled’s founder argued that the app was created to escape censorship, shadowbanning, and corporate control tied to platforms like Meta, X, and TikTok, but as Jimmy points out, other executives at the company have contradicted that message — especially with statements suggesting stronger content controls than existing platforms. Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger argue that framing moderation as “user protection” mirrors the same authoritarian logic used by Big Tech and governments to justify censorship, undermining the First Amendment. Ultimately, the video concludes that UpScrolled risks becoming yet another controlled platform, alienating users who joined specifically to escape ideological policing and speech restrictions.
