Spain’s defeat of Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final scored a record US TV audience of more than 62 million viewers, including 38.9 million fans for Fox Corp.’s English-language broadcast, according to Nielsen ratings. The global soccer championship, played July 19 in New Jersey, was featured on Fox’s broadcast channel and Fox One streaming platform. Fox held the English-language rights to the tournament in the US, while Comcast Corp.’s Telemundo channel and Peacock streaming platform aired the Spanish-language broadcast, which had 23.9 million viewers.
