For the SciFri Book Club, producer Christie Taylor was in conversation with Elizabeth Rush, author of this fall’s Book Club choice and whose work explores how humans adapt to changes and forces seemingly beyond their control, from ecological transformation to political revolution. We spoke about how we talk about climate change, the role of storytelling in making meaningful change, and who is missing from the conversation—and we took our community's questions. --- Because of the pandemic, our show is currently pre-recorded, so the #SciFri team have not able to take our audience's calls. We miss having listeners' voices on our radio program. We still want to hear from folks on our VoxPop app, but we're also experimenting with something new—we’re inviting our listeners to join us live for select recordings for #ScienceFriday on the radio! The event was recorded on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. The segment airs on the radio and our podcast on Friday, October 29, 2021. If you'd like to join future live Zoom call-ins to get your questions on the air with us, sign up for updates at https://www.sciencefriday.com/articles/join-live-recording-online/
